City and Guilds
As part of my own self-development I have attended City and Guilds courses earning my C&G Woodcarving 7722, 7822 and 7922 certificates. I greatly respect Dick Onians, the senior carving tutor at the City and Guilds Art School in London. His knowledge of woodcarving is phenomenal and he is a wonderful guide. He is well respected as a sculpture teacher, author and lecturer in the engaging art of wood sculpture. Dick is assisted on the C&G courses by Alexis van El who has a wealth of experience of teaching sculpture, drawing and modelling. She brings her own special insight and humour to the course. The images in this gallery are some of the C&G projects that I have completed.
